Dr. Nathan W. McGowan
Dr. Nathan McGowan is a chiropractic physician and a certified acupuncturist. Dr. McGowan grew up in St. Charles, IL and graduated from St. Charles high school. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois–Champaign/Urbana in 1999. In 2002, he attained his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences. He also completed post-graduate studies to become certified in acupuncture, applied kinesiology, and Sole Support orthotic casting and evaluation. Dr. McGowan has been in practice in Elgin, IL since January of 2003.
Interests and Activities
Dr. McGowan grew up playing soccer and ice hockey. He was a member of the University of Illinois Men’s soccer team. He continues to stay physically active and some of his interests include soccer, golf, basketball, and running. Dr. McGowan completed the Chicago marathon in 2002 and 2005 and has also participated in triathlons. He also enjoys attending various seminars (nutrition, detoxification, female hormone issues, pediatrics, etc.) and spending time with his wife and son.
